Big Idea: Only God can create a new person out of the old one. (After 29 chapters focusing on judgment, we finally come to four chapters (30-33) that focus on hope, salvation and restoration.)

Jeremiah 30-33 presents God's great promise of redemption, deliverance, and restoration of his shattered people. It is called the "Book of Consolation." It may be better called the "Book of Restoration." Recent sermons:

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness” (Jer 31:3).

“Is not Ephraim the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for himI have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord (Jer 31:20).

Big IdeaA new heart is a single heart with one way and one path to live. The way to a happy life is a long obedience in the same direction.

"I will give them one heart and one way (singleness of heart and action), that they may fear me foreverfor their own good and the good of their children after them" (Jer 32:39).

The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart. "Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Prov 4:23).

Shades of grace and peaceGrace is like flying without any effort. Grace always comforts. Grace requires listening. Grace believes the goodness of God, even in the face of pain, suffering, sorrow, oppression, injustice and tragedy. Grace sings. Grace is a constant open invitation. Grace causes rejoicing all the days of our life.

Thank God who blessed our first international Malaysian conference in Kuala Lumpur from June 29 to July 1, 2017 with the theme of Grace and Peace. The next day, July 2, was the first Malaysian UBF wedding between Ison Hong and Nicky/Becky from Taiwan. In today's service--a personal review of the conference--Isaiah helps us to know what God most desires to freely give us: Grace and Peace.
