“…and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.” (4).
1.Read verses 1-2. What is so special about your chosen status (1)? What do you know about the one who chose you (2)?
2. How much Peter knew about the one who chose him? What does es the word “Praise” tell us about Apostle Peter frame of mind (his tone) at the time when he wrote this letter to the scattered
brethren (3a)? What character of God do Peter emphasize that brough us to a new birth into a living hope (3b)?
3.Read verse 4. How did Peter explain the “living hope” in this verse? What is an inheritance (4a)? (rf. Lk 15:12)? What is the nature of this inheritance (4b)? Are you a smart investor?
Where is your investment? Why not invest in something permanent that stays put in the end? What confidence do you have in life?
4.Look at verse 5. How does faith work? What is your attitude of life (6a)? What does suffering teach us in life (6b)? Why suffering in life, what does it do (7)?
5.Read verses 8-9. How do you know you “love him” (8a)? What is your experience when you know that you are receiving the result of your salvation (8b-9)?
